To-date Water is Life has funded 10 wells together with A Glimmer of Hope and in June 2012 we joined AGOH staff and partners in Ethiopia to look at some of our more recent projects in the south of the country, in Tercha. We also visited a couple of hand-dug wells under construction in Seglamen, Tigray in the north.
Watching beautiful clean water pour out of the wells and listening to the women telling us how their lives have changed since getting access to the wells and how their children are healthier because they have access to clean water, is an unforgettable experience.
We want to build many more wells together with AGOH because we know that the wells will be built for those that need them the most, they will be maintained and improve the lives of 100's of people for years to come. As AGOH covers 100% of operating costs we also have a guarantee that our donations go straight to the projects.
