Hi friends,
Thank you so much for coming to my campaign page! This is where you can easily make a safe donation to my "RUNNING FOR HOPE" campaign. I am going to run a half-marathon in Santa Barbara in May in hopes to raise money for the village of Tercha in Ethiopia. I have never run a formal race before so am a little nervous but am confident that I 'll find all the strength I need knowing I am helping those who so desperately need our help.
As most of you know, my niece and nephew were adopted from Ethiopia. Through these remarkable children and visits to their country, our family felt an immediate connection and strong desire to help the people of Ethiopia. Last year through the generous efforts of many, they were able to raise money for 7 wells, 4 school buildings, and a health post for the region of Dali. My husband Scott and his brother Jeff visited Ethiopia last year and his brother & Dad went back again in October to witness firsthand the tremendous impact this has had on these people - see the inspiring video below!!!
Now it is MY turn to really help. And seeing that I have never run a race before I thought it could be the perfect way to do my own fund-raising! And as you will notice, many of my friends have also committed to Running for Hope. Several dear friends of mind from all over the globe are also running and raising money. The donations will go directly to building a maternity ward in Tercha, Ethiopia. They so desperately need it. Feel good about donating as 100% OF GLIMMER OF HOPE DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE OF ETHIOPIA! That is an amazing number as far as charities go. A Glimmer of Hope has improved 2.5 million lives to date and we hope to add many more lives to that number!
