All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do. Galatians 2:10
This verse was pointed out to me by one of the kindest men I have ever met. Emily and Moody Alexander introduced Dereje to all of us who went to Ethiopia with them. Dereje has such a heart for God and such a desire to spread His love whenever he can. Dereje sponsors a group of over 100 street kids in Addis Ababa and this is the theme verse for their organization. I think it is so fitting. I beleive those of us who experienced the EthiopiaSmile2010 trip are eager to not only remember the poor.....but to do something for them. That is why this campaign is so exciting!
I'm not very good as asking for money. What I do like to do is create. I like to dream up projects and then figure out how to make them happen. Such is the case here. I am constantly looking for things to make and sell to then donate the proceeds to this campaign. .
I will have items here for sale like the "HOPE" totebag above. I will add items all the time so check periodically. Please visit my website at http://bowintheclouds.com/category_1/AFRICA-Items-to-benefit-Dube-Bute.htm to order your items. Also, a wonderful artist in Denver, Colorado has agreed to donate a portion of the proceeds of a gorgeous "HOPE" necklace and braclet to the campaign so please visit her store at http://www.etsy.com/listing/56052907/africa-hope-necklace-our-glimmer-of... .
Thank you so much!
