Our campaign will raise funds to bring clean water to the village of Chuko. As women who were drawn by Julie's passionate and unwaivering "yes" to God's call, our group has become deeply committed to seeing the realization of clean water for the people of Chuko. We have the blessing of little Cruz in our daily lives as a reminder of the urgency of this cause, and ask you to prayerfully consider donating what you can to help us meet our goal. The majority of deaths in Chuko are due to water-borne illness--this truly is an urgent matter of life and death.
Our main fundraising effort is an Art Auction to be held on February 26 at the Creamery Art Center in Springfield, MO. Julie has touched the lives of many children and those children are excited to be contributing their works of art to be auctioned off at the event. Many committed professional artists have also generously given of their talents for the event. We are blessed to be witnessing God working through so many people to make this event possible.
A Glimmer of Hope helps lifts women and children out of extreme poverty in rural Ethiopia. Using an entrepreneurial model it provides clean water, schools, health clinics and micro-finance loans, one village at a time. 100% of all donations go directly to funding these projects. Glimmer’s endowment covers all its operating expenses and even replaces credit card transaction fees. Every dollar donated through Glimmer reaches the people in need. Over the last 10 years, Glimmer has completed more than 5000 projects and improved 2.4 million lives.
