Mohammed Beyan | Micro-finance Manager (Ethiopia)

I am the financial manager at A Glimmer of Hope Ethiopia. My responsibility is to account for the organization's fund receipts and disbursements, follow up to assure that the funds are utilized for the intended development projects, and produce financial reports.

I was born in the Oromia region and graduated with a BA in accounting from Addis Ababa University. I served as the Accountant and Revenue Head for the Pension Commission from 1983-1987, Revenue Subsection & Finance Section Head for the Civilian Aviation Authority at the Bole International Airport from 1988-1993, Administration and Finance Department Head for the Oromia Finance Bureau in 1992, Financial Advisor to the President from 1994-2002, and finally came to A Glimmer of Hope in May of 2002. I have a family with three children and enjoy visiting my relatives and friends with them.

I am working at A Glimmer of Hope to contribute to the organization's efforts to help the poor help themselves. I find great satisfaction in joining the cause to alleviate the struggle for development in Ethiopia.

A Glimmer of Hope Austin embodies the very essence of love and care for humankind. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to walk and work alongside a team of individuals who possess such wonderful hearts and compassionate spirits.
