I am involved in many aspects of the organization from sending out donor thank you letters and updating our database to collaborating with the marketing department and answering the phones. I have worked with the foundation since 2006.
I am a native of Venezuela and came to the United States in 1997 to study design and to learn English. In 2006, having completed degrees in Graphic Design and Industrial Design, I decided to stay in Austin, Texas and I joined A Glimmer of Hope. I never thought that I would feel as passionate about anything as I did about design but Glimmer is my family now and as a member of that family, I feel blessed to be able to play a role in spreading the word about the work we do in Austin and Ethiopia.
I am here because I have witnessed the impact that can be made in disadvantaged people’s lives. It is a very rewarding job that gives me an opportunity to offer a glimmer of hope in someone’s life every day – including mine and my daughter’s.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.Dr. Seuss
